AIRPORTS NATIONWIDE EXTENDING ASSISTANCE TO STRANDED MYAIRLINE PASSENGERS

SEPANG – Malaysia Airports has deployed its resources at relevant airports within its network to extend all possible assistance to stranded MYAirline (Z9) passengers following the announcement of their operations suspension earlier this morning.

Relevant notices have been put up at the terminals and airport staff are on ground to offer assistance on alternative flight options by other carriers. At KL International Airport (KLIA), resting areas have been provided at Level 3 Terminal 2 and Level 5 Anjung Tinjau Terminal 1 so that passengers can wait for their next flight comfortably.

Currently, the situation at affected airports are under control. Operational data shows that in the next two days (11 and 12 October 2023), a total of 39 flights servicing local destinations and one international route to Don Mueang Airport (DMK), as well as about 10,000 passengers are affected. Passengers who are not yet at the airport are advised not to come to the airport. Instead, they can explore alternative flight options from other carriers through the respective airlines’ websites.

Alternative flight options are as follows:
